Sydney based, Electro Nu-Metal band JERK was created as a quartet comprising singer Johnathan Devoy, guitarist Charles Cilia, bassist Leeno Dee with American native Lamar Lowder on drums. JERK's April 2003 debut album for major label Sony, entitled 'When Pure Is Defiled', was produced by the high profile figures of Sean Bevan and Lamar Lowder. Vocalist Johnathan Devoy exited in March 2004. JERK drafted Mario Spate as new frontman for concerts that August.

JERK folded and Leeno Dee, Johnathan Devoy and Charles Cilia re-emerged as INK in late 2006.
